AISTECH 2006

May 1-4 Cleveland, OH

With only its second appearance in the US market since the National Manufacturing Week, the Predator has proved to be a growing success. The focus for this event was to educate viewers about the consequences of contamination of water since it is the second major type of contamination after particles. Water can reduce the life of hydraulic machinery by up to 50%. Not only does it pose a direct threat to system health through corrosion and physical interference, but water also accelerates oxidation and the creation of sludge, which represents the third major type of oil contamination. Because it is a soft contaminant and difficult to quantify, sludge is often not recognized as a significant threat to system health. In truth, sludge can seriously hamper performance and damage expensive components such as pumps. Its resinous nature allows sludge to adhere to surfaces, reducing heat exchange and boosting power consumption. It will also block full-flow filters and pumps necessitating frequent replacement of these parts. In short, particulate, water and sludge contamination must be addressed by any company using hydraulic machinery.

NATIONAL PLANT ENGINEERING & MAINTENANCE

March 20- 23 Chicago, IL

Making its official US debut at the National Manufacturing Week was the Predator Bacteria Filter, Triple R's newest offering. Already implemented in the manufacturing and machining processes of several major US accounts, the Predator controls microbial growth in any aqueous solution through a natural oxidation/reduction reaction. The results are extended fluid life, improved working conditions, a reduced dependence on biocides and ulitmately, lower costs. The Predator has proven ideal fro use with metalworking fluids/machine tool coolants, but can be used in cooling towers, HVAC systems, industrial waste disposal and a variety of institutional water applications. With a live demonstration of Predator's powerful antimicrobial properties, Triple R was able to attract several people. Triple R also put its bypass oil filters to the test and by the way of a PODS oil analysis station, it was proven that its Continous Oil Purification System can quickly make heavily contaminated hydraulic fluid cleaner than new. Managing Partner Mike Mazzuca and Triple R America president David Murray explained what distinguishes Triple R filters from the competition, and how the company is evolving to address the ever more compllicated contamination control needs of industry today.
